I got this blade as a comparison to the Ka-Bar USMC Short.  The grip is a little thin but does have finger grooves.  It’s light weight and stays sharp, but I really can’t beat anything with the almost non-existent glass/nylon pommel.

Two aspect I really like is that 1) it is affordable, I believe I found it on sale in the forty dollar range, and 2) the sheath has a pocket in the front that can hold a sharpener/fire-starter or whatever you want.  I use mine to hold a Leatherman Wave– making this a fantastic combination.

Addendum- The KnifeWife says she would almost prefer the Buck 110 folder over this SOG, because the Buck just feels more heavy-duty, but with sweaty hands, the SOG grip is better. After comparing the two against each other- I can’t argue with that.  So check one out if you’re so inclined.
